Peppermint Sugar Scrub

Continuing with our homemade gifts commitment, the kids and I made homemade sugar scrub.  It is incredibly easy and inexpensive.  I gathered some clean baby food jars, ribbon, holiday stickers, labels, sugar, olive oil, and peppermint essential oil.

The recipe is:

• 3 cups sugar
• 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 10-20 drops essential oil (or however many you feel gives you a nice scent) I used Peppermint Oil for the holidays but you can use any essential oil scent you like
• Jar with a tight fitting lid

The recipe was found on Pinterest through Full of Great Ideas.  She has a really neat blog with tons of frugal ideas.

This recipe filled 6 baby jars to the brim with sugar scrub.  The peppermint oil smelled heavenly!  My oldest daughter ended up taking a jar to her teacher and was so proud to say that she helped make it
